- Katherine Burke’s work bridges theatre, social justice, and medical education. Before joining the field of medical education, she worked nationally and internationally, employing applied theatre as a tool for dialogue, reflection, and social change. Her current work continues to integrate applied theatre methods into health professions education, engaging medical students and clinicians in exploring the human dimensions of care. She holds an MFA in Theatre from Purdue University and a PhD in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from Case Western Reserve University.
